Diwrnod Hyfforddi Prosiect Cerddoriaeth Mawr Cymru

Mynychodd pobl ifanc ar draws Gymru i ddigwyddiad yng Nghaerdydd er mwyn bod yn Bencampwyr ar gyfer Y Prosiect Cerddoriaeth Mawr gan y Loteri Fawr.  Ar ddydd Gwener 21ain a dydd Sadwrn 22 Mawrth 2014m gwahoddodd Youth Cymru 85 o bobl ifanc o 8 ardal o Gymru i ymuno gyda’i gilydd i ddechrau ar y Prosiect Cerddoriaeth Mawr.

Yn ystod y penwythnos, cwblhaodd y Pencampwyr ifanc hyfforddiant mewn Cynllunio Prosiect, Marchnata gan ddefnyddio Cyfryngau Cymdeithasol ac Addysg Cyfoedion yn ogystal â holi ac ateb panel a gefogir gan y gantores a chyfansoddwraig Amy Wadge.

Bydd y prosiect yn gweld miliynau o bobl ifanc o amgylch y DU yn ddod o hyd i gyfeiriadau newydd i’w dyfodol drwy eu cariad at gerddoriaeth.  Yng Nhgymru mae 8 o ganolfannau wedi eu dewis yn arbennig ar gyfer Y Prosiect Cerddoriaeth Mawr, gyda 10 o’u haelodau yn cael ei hyfforddi i fod yn Bencampwyr er mwyn gwneud newid i’r gymuned drwy brosiect cerddoriaeth ymarferol: cliciwch isod i ddarganfod mwy:

Hubs stretch across the whole of Wales and are set up by Young promoters Network, The 3GS, Vale of Glamorgan youth Service, Media Academy Cardiff, Tanyard Youth Project Ltd, Tape Community Music and Film, Play Radnor, Andrew Kent Academy and Ty Cerdd.

Champions also had the opportunity to meet with Ministers, John Griffiths AM and Ken Skates AM. This was a great opportunity for young people to talk about the project, both Ministers were interested in the young people’s passion for music and are looking forward to the see the future developments of the project.

The Hub Intro event followed the official launch event, hosted at the British Music Experience in The O2, which saw young people from across the UK assemble for workshops and Q&A panels with industry insiders and celebrities.

Preparations are underway to take The Big Music Project on tour later in the year with a series of regional careers fairs and a national music competition.  The project also includes a work experience and internship scheme hosted on an online hub www.thebigmusicproject.co.uk.
