Role will include:

1. Establishing relationships and a style of working that will enable the young people to safely learn and develop, in accordance with the principles and values of youth work.
2. Helping in the delivery and development of Youth work programmes and services, in close collaboration with other staff.
3. Monitoring and evaluating projects with young people and staff
4. Tracking the progression of young people using a recognised monitoring tool.

What is required?

Experience of youth work and the development of good youth work practice

Project management and achieving contracted targets

Experience of working effectively on own and as a team

Knowledge and understanding of the development needs of young people

Principles of equal opportunities and a commitment to implementing them

Good organisational skills and the ability to plan, prioritise and complete tasks on schedule

Youth  Work Level 3 qualification

Excellent verbal and written communication skills required to build effective working relationships with people at all levels inside and outside the organisation

Good Presentation Skills

Ability to develop rapport quickly with young people and build supportive and enabling relationships

A knowledge of Child Protection Issues

Encourage and motivate young people to form positive relationships

Able to work on evenings or at weekends if needed

An understanding of Health and Safety issues

Satisfactory DBS

Willing to travel

Desirable – Welsh speaking
