Creative Minds

Funded by Spirit of 2012, the Creative Minds Project includes 4 Creative Wellbeing hubs across South Wales who take part in delivering bespoke, creative arts based workshops to young people aged 14-25 supporting their insight and understanding of their own, their peers, and their communities experiences of mental health and wellbeing.

“Here at YMCA Swansea we focus on providing young people with a safe, supportive environment where we can help fulfil their potential, so that they can belong, contribute and thrive.”

“Our Mission is to inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens.”

Play it Loud Studio is a recording and production studio based in Newport, working with budding young musicians to “discover, uncover, and shine the light on artists”.

The Andrew Kent Music Academy was set up by Wayne Hannigan and Swansea Youth Offending Service after the tragic loss of Wayne’s close friend and YOS worker Andrew Kent. The academy gives disengaged young people the opportunity to learn skills in dj-ing and music production.
