Who we are

Youth Cymru is a major youth work charity operating within the whole of Wales.
Until June 7th 2003 we were known as the Welsh Association of Youth Clubs (WAYC).

The WAYC can trace its history back to the Cardiff and District Federation of Girls Clubs, which was formed in 1934. This means that Youth Cymru has been serving the needs of young people in Wales for over 83 years.

What we do

We work collaboratively with our members and other youth facing organisation to provide unique, innovative and life changing opportunities, projects and programmes, bettering the lives of young people in Wales.

How we do it

We support our members and young people to access and obtain additional resources, providing more choices and chances for learning, development and growth.

We provide our members with training, accreditation and the opportunities to develop learn grow and thrive now and in the future.

Sessional Worker

Youth Cymru has an exciting opportunity for new sessional workers to support us in the delivery of our varied youth and community projects and programmes. Our sessional workers opportunities can range from workshop with young people supporting them to develop confidence and self esteem to the delivery of creative arts workshops that allow young people to develop their wellbeing and mental health. We are seeking an individual able to play an important role in supporting our ability to provide impactful and positive youth work services across Wales. This will provide you with an opportunity to work with a small, dynamic, and innovative national organisation with over 80 years’ experience of supporting young people, youth workers and the youth sector in Wales. We are delighted to be in a position to recruit new members of our staff team, and are looking for motivated, inspiring colleagues who is keen to support our delivery of quality youth work across Wales.
