I have a deep passion and commitment to the provision of youth support services for young people in Wales, having 25 years (22 years of which post qualification at youth and community degree level 6) experience of working with young people and managing youth support services.
The span of my substantial career in the youth and community field has included the management and development of street based/detached, mobile, participation and active involvement, centre based and targeted youth provision. For many years I was also the Strategic Manager for the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award in Cardiff. I am committed to social justice and young people’s rights. I am also an unpaid Director with the charity Sound Progression (creative arts based work with young people). I am also committed to the training of future youth and community workers and hold a part-time professional tutor role with Cardiff Metropolitan University.
I am a season ticket holder at Cardiff City FC and enjoy travelling the world!
