This training course runs over one day and will support participants in developing their understanding of sexually harmful behaviours in young people. It is intended to promote and develop an understanding of legal, policy and social issues in relation to sexually harmful behaviours.
Participants will explore normal and problematic behaviours with a view to developing their insight, understanding and awareness, enabling an effective response within a safeguarding framework.

Educated at the University of South Wales (Formerly University of Glamorgan) Donna graduated in 1999 HND Legal Studies and BA (Hons) Criminal Justice. Donna went on to work in Halifax Card Services Fraud Department, then ran a Public House and Nightclub in Porth for a number of years, before volunteering in Cardiff Prisons Education Department leading to her current work with Young Offenders in 2004. She initially held a sessional worker post taking young people out to complete their reparation as part of their Court Orders before beginning her nine year Case Manager role. Donna has worked in a voluntary capacity as a Community Panel Member and Appropriate Adult. Currently work at Youth Offending Service coordinating reparation. She previously had lead responsibility for assessment and direct intervention work with Children who have sexually harmed. She is currently undertaking training to become a qualified Counsellor.
