Our Projects

Youth Cymru delivers a vibrant mix of projects that inspire young people to grow, lead, and thrive. These include, for example, impactful mentoring journeys, youth leadership programmes, employment and skills development pathways, and creative and cultural experiences that ignite passion and possibility. Every project is crafted to boost confidence, strengthen well-being, and empower young people to shape their communities and create bold futures.

This project aims to normalise community-led climate work, ensure marginalised voices shape environmental decisions, and help people feel empowered in the face of the climate crisis. The project is led by the Centre for Alternative Technology (CAT) alongside Cwmpas, Youth Cymru, Mentrau Iaith Cymru, and Ethnic Minorities and Youth Support Team Wales (EYST).

The Summer Jobs Programme is a UK-wide initiative providing meaningful paid employment opportunities for young people during the summer. Youth Cymru is the delivery partner for the Summer Jobs Programme in Wales, delivering across Cardiff, Newport, and Swansea.

The Young Leaders Programme offers interactive workshops, leadership training, and the Youth Achievement Award (YAA). Participants connect with peers, engage in community projects, and hear from inspiring guest speakers, building essential leadership skills and lasting relationships.

We work alongside UK Youth, Youth Scotland, Youth Action Northern Ireland, and Youth Work Ireland who are leading youth work charities dedicated to enhancing young people’s life chances across the UK and Ireland. With a century of collaboration, we work locally, regionally, and nationally, fostering impactful opportunities and ensuring support for young people to thrive in their communities and beyond.

Your Voice matters, and we’re here to listen. Our young people are involved in two key cross-national youth forums, sharing experiences, challenges and tackling themes which matter to them!
