We invite you to celebrate 40 years of Midnight Skate, Youth Cymru’s iconic annual event. For 40 years, Midnight Skate has united an estimated 25,000 young people from across Wales to ice skate, create new friendships, and, most importantly, have fun.

This historical event has become a beloved tradition within the youth sector. It creates lasting memories for all who attend and a safe space to enjoy themselves – many young people attending will not have this luxury regularly. As we commemorate this significant milestone, we are contacting businesses for their support for the first time in its history.

Ensuring that this event remains accessible to all is crucial to us. We have consistently kept our admission fees below the usual entry costs, allowing youth clubs and individuals to save throughout the year to attend. Midnight Skate has long been a highlight on the calendar, eagerly anticipated by many.

Location: Vindico Arena, Cardiff International Sport Village

Up to 600 young people from across Wales take to the ice and skate into the night alongside their friends and youth work professionals. This unique experience allows them to enjoy the thrill of ice skating, meet new friends from across Wales and engage with mentors who inspire and support their growth. The event allows young people to build confidence, develop new skills, and create lasting memories in an active and safe environment.
