We’re excited to announce that registration is now open, and we have two cohorts starting in December 2024.
You can choose between:
- Online Delivery – Fully virtual, offering flexibility to participate from anywhere.
- Hybrid Delivery – A combination of Newport online learning and in-person sessions.
The Level 3 Detached and Outreach Youth Work training course runs over several days and combines theory and practice. The course outlines understanding, knowledge and skills relating to the practice of detached and outreach youth work. Learners must have access to a real detached or outreach work environment.
The course is delivered in two parts:
Part 1: This covers knowledge and theory and is assessed through a series of written tasks that will enable you to evidence your understanding and competence.
Part 2: This allows you to apply that knowledge in a practice context by requiring you to deliver a 20-hour work-based outreach and detached placement. This is assessed through planning, delivery and evaluation processes and records.
Additional 1-1 support will be made available to ensure access and achievement of the assessment tasks.
Participants will:
