Marketing and Communications for the youth sector in Wales

Strengthening Youth Work Communications in Wales

Youth Cymru is proud to work in partnership with Welsh Government and colleagues across the youth work sector to deliver the next phase of the Youth Work Marketing and Communications Programme.

This programme builds on strong foundations created by organisations, practitioners and national partners. The next phase focuses on strengthening what already exists, building on what has worked well, and ensuring youth work in Wales is represented clearly, confidently and bilingually -within the sector and to the wider public.

Programme Strands

The programme focuses on two interconnected strands:

Strand 1: Public Awareness

Enhancing public understanding and visibility of youth work by:

ü  Showcasing its value and impact

ü  Sharing positive stories and case studies

ü  Celebrating young people and the workforce

ü  Delivering three bilingual national campaigns

Strand 2: Sector Communication

Improving communication within the sector by:

ü  Sharing tools, resources and examples of practice

ü  Supporting bilingual communication

ü  Strengthening consistency of national messaging

ü  Encouraging collaboration across regions and organisations

Youth Cymru’s role is to support collaboration, bring partners together and ensure future work reflects shared learning and sector priorities.
