Reach Out – Covid 19

Reach Out

The issue of loneliness is bigger than ever due to the Coronavirus and our ReachOut hubs have been working hard bringing their communities together during Covid-19. The team have been taking part in #AskAYouthWorker every week, where we have been answering questions and sharing resources around self-care, mental health and making connections during Covid-19. You can take part via Youth Cymru’s Instagram and Kirstie (@kirstiecymru).

Alongside this We have been supporting a youth led project called Project Hope; a group of young people supported by youth professional tackling loneliness and isolation in young people, by providing a space for young people to meet online. The group meets 3 times a week via zoom to run fun and engaging session for 13-25 year olds.

Monday, 4pm: Wellbeing session

Wednesday 4pm: Skill sharing

Saturday 7pm: Games night.

More info on weekly timetables and the project can be found on their twitter & Instagram (@ylprojecthope).

We would like to hear from our members on how ReachOut can support you during this time! Do you need activities/resources around tackling loneliness? Would you like us to run a session with your young people? Please get in touch with Project Lead, Kirstie via kirstie@youthcymru.org.uk  to discuss further.
