Marketing Communications and Digital Content Coordinator

Salary  £21,800 per year depending on experience. 1 year contract  
Main purpose of the post   To support and development of Youth Cymru's website, marketing, communication and graphic design for projects across Wales in various formal and informal settings and alongside development requirements. 


We are looking for a candidate to support the Youth Cymru team with creating all materials for the website for projects, training, conferences and events.

Responsibilities will include:

Brand creation and assets

Business branding and design

Managing digital campaigns

Video Marketing

Collateral design (print and digital)

Web design

Managing the website content (updating the content management system and liaising with colleagues, members, funders and partners and formatting their content, images etc)

Some event management responsibilities

Organising the printing for the team

Liaising with and helping funders/ partners provide the correct graphics

Helping to organise printed collateral as needed

Attending meetings for projects and events

General assistance for the Youth Cymru Team

Qualifications, Experience & Knowledge: 


  • Qualifications and experience in graphic design, print and web design (Evidence required) 
  • An interest in projects and events 
  • An interest in social media promotion 
  • Outgoing and able to work with funders and partners 
  • Organised and willing to work in a team 
  • Experience of providing constant updates of websites, intranet site and other digital platforms when necessary. 
  • Development of marketing assets for delivery 
  • Knowledge of digital marketing tasks- social media & email campaigns when required. 
  • Experience of advertisement content relevant and contemporary through all media. 
  • Experience of supporting organisations for numerous events, including exhibitions and conferences.

As a minimum the successful candidate will need to demonstrate the following: 



  • Evidence of your creative and technical skills, eg. 'live' websites you have worked on. You may of gained this evidence from college, paid work or volunteering. 
  • You will need a good working knowledge of HTML, and experience of writing web pages in a combination of codes. It could be useful if you have a working knowledge of some of the following design and programming tools: Dreamweaver and Photoshop, Flash, CSS, Javascript and Net frameworks 
  • Evidence of marketing materials and marketing campaigns. 
  • Ability to deliver website and graphic design support in line with funding and projects 
  • Experience of creating websites and maintaining regular content. 
  • Essential to be able to demonstrate team work in a busy work setting 
  • Knowledge of social media to promote website and marketing materials. 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, oral and written. 
  • Excellent IT knowledge & skills. 
  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365 
  • Experience of CRM 
  • Able to deliver training to colleagues, members and young people. 
  • Time Management skills with the ability to work under pressure and management of caseload to tight deadlines. 
  • Ability to work with the minimum of supervision as part of a remote team

More information

  • Hours: 35 hours per week.  Some weekend and evening work will be required.  
  • Location: based in Treforest: travel throughout south Wales may also be required.  
  • The successful candidate will require enhanced DBS certification prior to commencing work.  
  • Annual leave 20 days a year pro rata
