SummerSchool – Centre Take Over
Ever wondered what it would take to run a place like Wales Millennium Centre, from welcoming visitors to operating the spotlight for international companies?

Well this is your opportunity; the Centre has signed up to take part in the nationwide initiative Kids in Museums/Theatres and are looking for young people aged 13 – 19 to take over the Centre on 12 November.

Starting with a free two week summer school in August, you’ll be given all the training and support you’ll need to take over your new roles. The free two week summer school will take place on 17-28 August and will include travel and food subsistence, offer insight from industry professionals in how to be anything from a member of the technical team, the marketing team to a programmer and will include practical shadowing opportunities.

After the two week summer school you, and your peers will decide upon weekly sessions to continue developing your skills and knowledge leading up to the takeover day on Wednesday 12 November.

Most importantly, the whole opportunity is free, all you need to do in complete a very short application form, be available Mon – Fri between 17-28 Aug and be motivated and dedicated.
