Youth of the Year Award 2015

UK Youth is proud to announce our new initiative – Youth of the Year Awards 2015 – which will take place on Thursday 19th November 2015.

UK Youth believes that it is important to celebrate and promote the great work that young people do outside of formal education and recognise the valuable part that youth groups play in supporting them. That’s why we are working together with our national partners – Youth Scotland, Youth Cymru, Youth Action Northern Ireland and Youth Work Ireland – to celebrate the achievements of a young person aged 16-25 from each nation at the Youth of the Year Awards. These five young people will have transformed their lives for the better with the support of a youth club, volunteer or mentor.

The winners will receive a Youth of the Year Award 2015. Celebrations will include:

· Youth of the Year Awards Celebration Ceremony at Buckingham Palace

· Award certificate presented by our patron, Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal

· Exclusive three course dinner at Buckingham Palace

· Transport to and from London

· One nights accommodation in a London hotel

Each of the five winners will receive a £200 voucher and a £750 mini grant for the youth group that supported them. This grant will allow each young person and their youth group to continue making a difference for other young people in their local community.

We will be sharing more information about this event and the stories of our winners at a later date!
