The Money for Life Challenge is a national competition which provides grants for 16 to 24 year olds to run a project to improve money management skills in their communities. The most inspiring and impactful projects progress to the National Finals and the UK Grand Final, with great prizes on offer.
16 to 24 year olds, in a further education, training or community organisation, can set up a team and apply for one of 300 grants to run a money management project in the local community. The Money for Life Challenge has been created in consultation with our further education and community partners: CollegesWales, National Skills Academy for Financial Services, The Wise Group, Youth Cymru, UK Youth, NOW and Young Scot. Our partners are instrumental in the delivery and co-ordination of the Challenge.
Money for Life is Lloyds Banking Group’s award-winning personal money management programme, focussed on equipping communities across the UK with the skills and capabilities they need to make the most of their money. Lloyds has invested £8million in the programme to date and is committed to helping Britain prosper through the programme until at least 2017.
Money for Life has been recognised in each year 2012-2014 by Business in the Community and received a Big Tick in their Awards for Excellence. In addition, the programme was shortlisted for the overall Building Stronger Communities Award in 2014
