GwirForce are a panel of volunteers aged 14-25, who are committed to promoting youth volunteering and ensuring that valuable and rewarding volunteering experiences are available to young people in Wales.

GwirForce are currently managed by Youth Cymru.

Since forming, GwirForce have written a Youth Charter to promote good practice for youth volunteering which they have presented to Carwyn Jones, First Minister for Wales. They created the ‘Why Not? / Pam Lai?’ documentary showcasing youth volunteering in Wales, and have had a presence at a number of national and international events, including the Urdd Eisteddfod and the European Year of the Volunteer Conference in Brussels.

GwirForce offer a range of opportunities for young people to become involved – whether it be attending events and residentials, film-making, marketing or mentoring. With the support of Youth Cymru, the panel offers opportunities for training, developing skills, new experiences and representing the voice of young people in Wales.
