NatWest: Skills & Opportunities Fund

We need your help!

Help us to bring some vital funds to Wales! Your vote is important as if successful this new project will help fund a new financial capability project that will work with young people and youth workers to help develop this vital life skill.

Our project will:

  • Offer unique bespoke support that is needed to support the Financial Capability of young people with complex multiple challenges.
  • Develop the youth work curriculum in Wales embedding Financial Capability at a grassroots level.
  • Upskill youth workers and ensure a wider reach for our project.
  • Use the new Financial capability toolkit that we are researching and developing with young people as part of our Money Advisory Service What Works funded project and enable its delivery Wales-wide.
  • Support youth groups working with challenged young people to sustain the support they offer beyond the project.

The Fund

In 2017, NatWest is making £2 million available across England and Wales through their Skills & Opportunities Fund. The regional boards (with the help of a public vote) will determine the destination of grants of up to £35,000. Youth Cymru is a not-for-profit organisation and has projects aimed at helping people in the areas of financial capability.
