“An introduction to working with young people who exhibit sexually harmful behaviours”
This training course runs over one day and will support participants in developing their understanding of sexually harmful behaviours in young people. Intended to promote and develop an understanding of legal, policy and social issues in relation to sexually harmful behaviours. Participants will explore normal and problematic behaviours with a view to developing their insight, understanding and awareness, enabling an effective response within a safeguarding framework.
This course will enable you to:
- Understand the difference between normal and problematic behaviours.
- Understand the legal and policy context.
- Develop Insight into attitudes, beliefs and contexts in relation to harmful sexual behaviour.
- Begin to understand intervention techniques for working with young people at exhibiting or at risk of exhibiting harmful sexual behaviours.
